IQPACS is a completely DICOM-compliant PACS system, integrating the client and server applications from a clinic/hospital in a PACS network, facilitating the medical images management, offering quick access to radiological images, and making the diagnosing process easier.
The IQPACS system consists of a number of applications that can be integrated in a PACS network, considering the client’s needs and the specific of every clinical institution.
Info World’s IQPACS system has obtained FDA premarket notification for sales in United States. IQPACS is classified as a Class II Medical device.
Description
- Medical Image Storage - IQPACS Image Store is mainly intended for archiving the DICOM instances received from other DICOM nodes in the network (either modalities or other DICOM compliant applications). It handles short and long term archive storage. IQPACS Image Store receives and stores many types of images, both single- frame and multi-frame: CR, CT, MR, US, SC, XA, NM, DX, MG, VL, and others. IQPACS Image Store is also responsible with auto-routing the images – routing the images based on rules made at the configuration level;
- Diagnosis through handling DICOM images. IQPACS allows multiple specific image processing operations on DICOM images, such as: zoom, window/level operations, magnification, filtering, different types of measurements (including volumetry), flip and rotate and other functions with the possibility of saving the operations applied on images by saving presentation states and image captures or exporting the images in JPEG/HTML structure/AVI/MPEG/DICOM/ DICOMDIR format. IQPACS Imago Pro is able to generate CD's and DVD's with the images in DICOMDIR format along with a viewer;
- Diagnose workflow. In order to diagnose a study, a well defined diagnose flow is defined. For the current study, there are several possibilities to edit, generate and visualize reports: record reports (generating audio instances), transcribe and approve (generating structured reports) and view reports. In order to mark some studies as special ones, “Key Object Notes” that contain the reason for marking the study will be used;
- Automated radiology workflow with or without HIS. Patients can be scheduled directly at the IQPACS RadiFlow station or by receiving patient orders from other information systems (HIS). Then, IQPACS RadiFlow generates worklists that are queried and retrieved by the imaging modalities;
- HIS Interface images are added to the patient's electronic file. IQPACS connects to HIS Hospital Manager thus ensuring the sending of images in the electronic patient history file;
- Web-enabled. Studies of interest can be “published” via Internet. From remote locations, physicians with access rights are able to access and view these studies using IQPACS ImagoWeb. This client application also offers image manipulation and post-processing tools;
- Teleradiology. Teleradiology offers for the radiologists the possibility to exchange opinions over the same study. Radiologist A sends images and comments to radiologist B (similar with sending an email). As soon as B opens his workstation he sees the «message» from A. Radiologist B looks at the study from A, does specific operations and applies certain filters and answers to A (very much like an email reply). B's answer contains images, documents, audio dictations, etc. More than that, synchronous communication is possible, so that the operations applied by one doctor on images can be viewed in real-time by the other doctors.
Highlights and benefits
- Easy to configure. IQPACS can be easily configured through the interface so that it will meet every client demands at any moment;
- Quick access to radiological images and patient data. The workflow allows quick access to the studies acquired at the modality. The diagnosing process can be done immediately after image acquisition, but the images can be accessed at any time later;
- Information consistency. All the radiological data can be easily accessed (older studies, diagnosing reports, annotations);
- Filmless environment. No need for radiological films anymore. Implementing the IQPACS system you will save time and money for your medical institution;
- Better diagnose. The quality of the diagnosing is increased by using the large number of tools and the diagnosing process will be faster;
- An eye towards the future. By implementing the IQPACS system you will be aligned to the technology standards of the future.
EMC Partnership
The integration between EMC Centera and Info World’s IQPACS system benefits the customers who are deploying large archives of radiological images by unlocking the value in digital content, while lowering costs and making it easier to manage and share this information.
